In 2005, an Osaka-based team led by Shinpei Ueno illuminated the art of Japanese night skateboarding. Throughout his travels and 15 years creating the underground video series Lenz, he helped spread the fast style and explorations of color and environment that are now a trademark of the local scene – and the TIGHTBOOTH®︎ aesthetic. Born out of necessity, the Nike SB x TIGHTBOOTH®︎ Dunk Low Pro draws inspiration from the freedom of nighttime streets. The textural overlays emulate the metal grates found and used during nighttime sessions. Reflective Swoosh panels, a co-branded tongue, and subtle touches of Safety Orange bring the spirit and synergy of the TIGHTBOOTH®︎ visual identity to the iconic Dunk.
